February 27 and 28, 2015

Course Description

This course has been approved for 15, category 1 CE hours in both Minnesota and North Dakota. The North Dakota Board of Physical Therapy has also endorsed this course to meet requirements for performing high velocity; low amplitude thrust manipulation in their practice.

LBP accounts for 3% of all MD visits annually...with direct healthcare costs over 85 billion dollars.... and make up the largest group of people seeking care from physical therapists. This course focuses on evaluation and management of lumbar spine disorders based on the strongest and most recent evidence. Because manipulation is under-utilized by PTs despite high-level evidence to support its use, several applications and techniques are emphasized. The contributions of the thoracic spine, pelvis and hips are also addressed. This course is a combination of lecture and extensive lab time, and will prepare the attendees to more effectively treat low back disorders.

Jeff Schmidt, PT, OCS, SCS, MTC

Scott Brown, PT, OCS
