Sanford Cancer

Our patients and their families tell us over and over again how comfortable they are with the care, support and treatment they receive at Sanford Cancer in Bismarck.

We know that when cancer is diagnosed, it's a traumatic time for the patient and family. It's important to us to be your ally in the war against cancer and to provide the peace of mind you need.

Your own family physician may continue to care for you in other needs you may have before and after your cancer treatment. Our facility's computer system assists our physicians to use the same medical record for you as much as possible to avoid repeating lab work or X-rays.

Our cancer patients are able to have all of their needs met at Sanford Cancer in Bismarck because we are the only health care provider in the region with a comprehensive cancer program, ranging from surgery and radiation to chemotherapy and rehabilitation.

Sanford Health ranks high in colorectal cancer care report

In 2010, the Sanford Cancer Committee released the Annual Colorectal Cancer Report. The report determined that from early detection to cutting edge medical oncology and radiation oncology treatments to the multidisciplinary approach of treating the disease, Sanford Health is ahead of the country in the success of colorectal cancer care. The average overall survival of colorectal cancer patients at Sanford Health is about 5 percent higher than across the country, and Sanford Health’s programs are working to increase that advantage.
