Medcenter
One has a dynamic team of licensed, registered dietitians
who assist in the care of hospital inpatients and clinic
outpatients. Additionally, they are involved and active
in community services.
| Hospital
inpatient care |
| Licensed,
registered dietitians are available to assist with
hospital patients' needs and/or concerns. Dietitians
are available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and
are on call on weekends and holidays. |

| Clinic
outpatient care |
| Licensed,
registered dietitians are available to provide Medical
Nutrition Therapy (MNT). The definition by the American
Dietetic Association is: "Medical nutrition
therapy involves the assessment of the nutritional
status of patients with a condition, illness or
injury that puts them at risk. Based on the assessment,
those nutrition modalities most appropriate to manage
the condition or treat the illness or injury are
chosen." |
