Academic calendar

The students' education in radiography consists of a 23-month continual classroom and/or clinical schedule centered around the following:
  • First Monday in August—program begins
  • Labor Day—no school
  • Thanksgiving Day and Friday after—no school
  • Week over Christmas—student break
  • New Year's Day—no school
  • Week over Easter—student break
  • Memorial Day—no school
  • Week of July 4th—student break
  • Last Friday in June—students graduate (upon successful completion of all requirements)
Radiography

The Medcenter One Radiography Program runs on a 26-week semester system. Students are required to complete rotational objectives, performance evaluations and specific numbers of competencies for each semester. Each of the four semesters becomes progressively more challenging and difficult than the last, as students gain knowledge and experience in their education.

Students are scheduled for no more than 40 hours/week in classroom and clinical assignments while in the program. Students are scheduled for limited evening rotations during the program. Saturday rotations are optional.
