top Councils and committeesUnited based partnership council: UBCPurpose: To deal with unit specific issues of practice and the delivery of patient care in accordance with mission, philosophy and purpose of organization and shared governance. Membership: All managers, registered nurses, interdisciplinary partners, licensed practical nurses, nurse assistants, unit secretaries and receptionists. Meetings: Minimum nine times per year and as needed. Chair: Elected by unit based council members.Housewide Partnership Council:Purpose: Create an environment, which promotes, open communication, trust and accountability. Value every associate’s position and importance in our team effort to provide excellence in the healthcare community Membership: Associates form support services, nursing, interdisciplinary services, administration, and continuum of care. Meetings: Minimum nine times per year and as needed. Chair: Elected by Housewide Partnership Council members.Professional Practice Council:Purpose: Meet with the Vice President of Patient Care Services to discuss matters that concern staff in order to improve patient care. Coordinate, collaborate, and learn from the activities of the Unit Councils. Foster and operationalize clinical, safety, and financial initiatives of the organization. Membership: Chairman of each Unit Based Council, and system councils, education, management, Vice President of Patient Care Services, CEO, Interdisciplinary representative, and the continuum of care. Meetings: Minimum nine times per year and as needed. Chair: Elected Professional Practice CouncilProfessional Services Council:Purpose:Insures compliance with standards of practice, clinical, safety, financial, and quality outcomes. Responsible for designating, communicating, and implementing change in collaboration with administration, staff, and patients. Membership: Nurse Managers, interdisciplinary partners, support services, and the continuum of care. Meetings: Two times per month and as needed. Chair: Vice President of Patient Care Services. |
