Medcenter One nurse achieved clinical ladder IV status
BISMARCK, N.D.—Kim Ledger, a registered nurse in surgery, successfully attained clinical ladder IV status. To achieve this status, Ledger positively impacted the quality of patient care at Medcenter One. She planned and implemented an evidence-based practice project that tracked the effectiveness of platelet gel on the healing of incisions made to the sternum of patients who had heart surgery.
This achievement program began in January 2009.
Medcenter One is a non-profit, integrated health system that consists of a 232-bed hospital, a multi-specialty clinic, a college of nursing, six primary care clinics, three kidney dialysis centers and four long-term care facilities in western and central North Dakota.
