Medcenter One awarded rehabilitation accreditation
BISMARCK, N.D.—Medcenter One was recently re-accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for three years for the following: inpatient rehabilitation programs—hospital (adults) and inpatient rehabilitation programs—hospital (children and adolescents). This is the ninth consecutive three-year accreditation outcome that CARF has awarded to Medcenter One.
This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Medcenter One’s conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality.
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
Medcenter One is a non-profit, integrated health system that consists of a 232-bed hospital, a multi-specialty clinic, a college of nursing, six primary care clinics, three kidney dialysis centers and four long-term care facilities in western and central North Dakota. Key accreditations and quality awards include: Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons Level II Emergency and Trauma Center, Magnet Recognition Program® and 100 Top Hospitals® for cardiovascular care by Thomson Reuters in 2009.
