Dr. Martin becomes fellow of American College of Physicians

BISMARCK, N.D.—Dr. Kent Martin, a Medcenter One internal medicine physician, recently was recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) in an awards ceremony during Internal Medicine 2010, ACP’s annual scientific meeting, held April 22—24 in Toronto.

Fellowship is an honor achieved by those recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment and demonstrated scholarship.

Dr. Martin joined Medcenter One in 1995 and currently serves as the health system’s director of infectious disease.

Medcenter One is a non-profit, integrated health system that consists of a 232-bed hospital, a multi-specialty clinic, a college of nursing, six primary care clinics, three kidney dialysis centers and four long-term care facilities in western and central North Dakota. Key accreditations and quality awards include: Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons Level II Emergency and Trauma Center, Magnet Recognition Program® and 100 Top Hospitals® for cardiovascular care by Thomson Reuters in 2009.
