Medcenter One Health Sciences Library

The Medcenter One Health Sciences Library serves as an information resource to meet the educational and research-related needs of Medcenter One, the Medcenter One College of Nursing, the Southwest Campus of the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine and surrounding communities.

The library is approximately 8,000 square feet with comfortable reading/lounge areas, work tables and study carrels. Conference and study rooms for private study and research are available.

Print and electronic resources

Print resources

Located in the lower-level of the Medcenter One College of Nursing, the main library collection contains approximately:
  • 20,000 bound journal volumes.
  • 4,500 printed book.
  • 900 audiovisual materials.
  • 500 print journal titiles of which over 300 are on current subscription.

In addition to print journal resources, the library has purchased:
  • Electronic online access to over 200 medical and nursing journals.
  • Full-text database access to over 4,700 medical journals and 280 nursing journals.

    · 100 electronic books.
    · 10 electronic databases.

  • Three laptop computers available for private research within the library.

Librarians are available to provide assistance with performing informational searches and the location and use of library informational resources. Assistance is available in person by visiting the library or by phone by calling 701.323.5390 or 701.323.5391.
