Internal medicine


The field of internal medicine covers many diverse specialties such as pulmonology, oncology, hematology, nephrology, infectious diseases, cardiology and critical care. Our internal medicine doctors work as a team to diagnose and treat adult disease.

Using the most advanced equipment available, the internal medicine doctors use procedures ranging from blood tests to X-rays to diagnose conditions from high blood pressure to diabetes to cancer. In addition to discovering and preventing potential health problems, they teach patients the value of preventive health measures such as exercise, nutrition, immunizations and choosing not to smoke. When necessary, they refer patients to the appropriate medical specialist.
