About Medcenter One:
Women for WomenAs women, we are keenly aware of breast cancer's power to one day turn our lives upside down. The American Cancer Society estimates 215,990 new breast cancer cases will be reported this year. That's more than uterine and lung cancer combined. That's bad news. The good news is that with early detection programs and patient education, breast cancer's death toll is losing ground. In fact, with early detection, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer is now 95 percent. And yet, roadblocks in the battle against breast cancer remain. For women who do not have health insurance or the ability to pay for such services, the odds of diagnosing and treating breast cancer in an early stage is unlikely. The odds of a good outcome are worse. That's where you and I can help. By supporting the Women for Women campaign, you can help ensure that all women, regardless of their ability to pay, will have access to this life-saving detection technology.
