College of Nursing home pageApproval and accreditation

Medcenter One College of Nursing offers an upper-division program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN). The College of Nursing offers an evidence/theory-based curriculum which correlates with current nursing knowledge and technology and prepares the practitioner for professional nursing practice in the 21st century.

The prerequisite courses may be completed at any regionally accredited college or university to satisfy one portion of the requirement for admission to the College of Nursing.

The North Dakota Board of Nursing approved the College of Nursing for operation in 1988. This approval of the College assures the graduates that they have met the academic requirements for writing the National Council of State Boards of Nursing examination (NCLEX®), successful completion of which can lead to licensure for the practice of professional nursing in the state of North Dakota. States differ in their requirements for licensure. The graduate must be responsible for meeting those requirements.
