Chiropractic focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Chiropractic is used most often to treat neural and musculoskeletal complaints, including back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints or radiating pain of the arms or legs, TMJ pain and headaches.

Chiropractors practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to healthcare that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, provide nutritional and lifestyle counseling and give injury prevention education.

The most common therapeutic procedure performed by chiropractors is spinal manipulation, also called chiropractic adjustment. The purpose of this manipulation is to restore joint mobility. Other therapeutic tools such as ultrasound, massage, electrical muscle stimulation and cold or hot packs are used to help with pain, inflammation or spasm.

Chiropractic is suitable for persons of all ages.
