Radiation therapy

Medcenter One and St. Alexius Medical Center have combined efforts to provide optimum care for our patients who receive radiation therapy. Radiation services are provided at the Bismarck Cancer Center, 500 N. Eighth St., Bismarck, N.D.

The Bismarck Cancer Center gives radiation therapy to cancer patients. Radiation therapy is the delivery of high energy radiation to a specific area to treat diseases. Patients are referred for this treatment by their physician. The radiation oncologist will discuss your diagnosis and the ways in which radiation therapy may help you.

If you will receive radiation therapy, there may be several tests or procedures that need to be done before the treatments can be started. This planning can take several days.
