Medcenter One Cancer Care Center

Our patients and their families tell us over and over again how comfortable they are with the care, support and treatment they receive at the Cancer Care Center.

We know that when cancer is diagnosed, it's a traumatic time for the patient and family. It's important to us to be your ally in the war against cancer and to provide the peace of mind you need.

Your own family doctor may continue to care for you in other needs you may have before and after your cancer treatment. Our facility's computer system assists our physicians to use the same medical record for you as much as possible to avoid repeating lab work or X-rays.

Our cancer patients are able to have all of their needs met at the Cancer Care Center because we are the only healthcare provider in the region with a comprehensive cancer program, ranging from surgery and radiation to chemotherapy and rehabilitation.

Medcenter One ranks high in colorectal cancer care

The Medcenter One Cancer Committee just released the 2010 Annual Colorectal Cancer Report. The report determined that from early detection to cutting edge medical oncology and radiation oncology treatments to the multidisciplinary approach of treating the disease, Medcenter One is ahead of the country in the success of colorectal cancer care. The average overall survival of colorectal cancer patients at Medcenter One is about 5 percent higher than across the country, and Medcenter One’s programs are working to increase that advantage.
